My Dearest Mother,
You were there when I needed you, even though you weren’t. You are there when I wept, even though I didn’t feel you. You are there when I fall, even though I didn’t need you. You are there when I smile. You are there when I was blind, you guided me. You are there because you cared. You are there because you knew I needed you to be. You left this world long ago. But dear Mother you’ve been there. I understood you gave your heart to a world that didn’t appreciate it, the world took advantage and mistreated your gracious and kind spirit. And although you are far departed, I know you are there. To my Mother on this Mother’s Day, may you rest in peace forever more. Till we meet again, and share an embrace.
